Our
First Auction
Emma – Yesterday we did an
auction and we bet for things. We earned
fake money and we each got to pick one thing to bid on and the person with the
highest amount won it.
Dante – We had our first auction
November 6th, 2012. Everyone
could have bought something and if you didn’t buy anything you got a pencil at
the end.
Dylan – Kaelan got the prize to
go with Mrs. Kosolowski to have lunch.
Kaelan – Yesterday was our
auction and I had $54.05 to buy something, the only thing I bought was pizza with
Mrs. Kosolowski which cost $53.05.
Salina – When we were doing our
auction, Mrs. K called 2 names at a time to pick a prize from the table and we
would action it off and whoever didn’t get a prize got a pencil.
Ashley – Yesterday in the morning
we had our first auction and I got to go first.
I choose a sticky hand and then Joseph won it and I got two other prizes
like a ball and another sticky hand.
Jolene – When it was our auction,
the only thing I got was a blue small slinky.
Jessica – On November 6th
we had our first auction and I didn’t get anything, which I think is kind of
good because then you get to save up your money. I had $35.05 and in the end I
got to pick a pencil and I got a fuzzy pencil for free.
Taylor – Yesterday in the first 2
periods we had an auction and when the first picked something, I didn’t bid
because I was waiting for something good and then when something was good I
started to bid. I lost it because I didn’t have that much money. Then after a couple of people, it was my turn
so I picked some beads and some people were bidding and I got the beads.
Sofia – Yesterday we had an
auction, and me and Jessica came inside before the ball to help set it up. We were the only people allowed to touch it
and if the other people touched it they have to give 10 cents.
Hi Room 5!
ReplyDeleteOh the Auction!! Probably one of my favourite things in Mrs. Kosolowski's classroom! You each have so much energy and enthusiasm and it is so fun watching you think about the items that are put up to bid on, counting your money and making sure your bids are no more than you have in your wallet, and using your talented math skills to outbid each other! You all did such a great job keeping the volume in the room down so we could hear each other! Great presentation level voices for the bids!
Love, Mrs. Oddy
